Question

Plant-safe algae eating fish?

Which ones are the best?

Which to avoid?

Which have you tried

and where do you get them?

online stores that don't cost an arm & a leg for shipping and don't need to sell 30 fish at a time?

I love Otto's! They are a little delicate but great fish.

Jeff,

Have you seen those Pl*cos that look like little stingrays? I can't remember what they're called and I haven't seen them that often. I wonder how big they get 'cause they are cool looking.

Try the one called bristle nose. Stays around the 4" size and are nocturnal. I like them because they continue to eat algae even after they are grown. Most other plecos I've had get lazy and eat flake food that floats past them rather than having to work for their meals.

My plecos are all over 5 years old and 3 of them are even better than 12 inches and none of mine are lazy. Also I dont have any problems with them eating my plants. The Oscars in the tank on the otherhand Will "move" one if they don't like where it is.
