Very sweet tank Like the angels. Did they get hatched in it or added small?

Beautiful tank! I like the simplicity-sometimes it is far more effective to have only a few differant plants than a botanists showcase of species. Very nice!

Stang69, they were purchased very small, about a quarter in size. IMO the best angelfish, they act very wild (as they are) with no behavior like you see out of normal aquarium angelfish.
OodleyBoodely, yeah I like she has pretty much like type plants, but there are 12 different kinds of plant in there, the picture is kind of deceptive, but very Amano influenced. We're both more fans of simplicity than abundance.

what kind of lighting? is CO2 used?
For lights it just has two 65W 50/50 PC bulbs (half actinic/half 10k) and a 5700k 40W NO.
And yes, CO2 is used to regulate the pH with a pH controller.
Here are some more pictures...
I bought this sword for a 10g betta tank we had several years ago, it was only about 2" in size when I got it and was sold as a "dwarf sword" it's more than 10" across now.
Amano inspired riccia effect..
It's sometimes hard to get the tuft algae to grow when you actually want it to..

Very beautiful! Everything looks very healthy. BTW, is your girlfriend aware that eventually when those angels grow up they will eat the cardinals? I'm sure she does, but, thought I'd mention it just in case.

OodleyBoodely, no we kind of figured they would grow up to be friends like the fish in Finding Nemo. I heard in the LFS that as long as a predator grows up with it's prey it won't eat it, you mean this isn't true? (joking)
Yeah we know, that is still a year or so off, we're going to be moving the tank so we've got it planned that when the tank is broke down to move they will come out. As you know, getting Neons out of an established tank without breaking it down is a huge ordeal. With the current size of the Neons the Angels will have to be full grown adults before they will be able to take them down, and they will be gone in a couple of months..So it looks cute until then.
