Otos, Corys & Crayfish, oh my!

I got fishies... I'm a happy camper!

Went to wally world and was bummed out cuz I kept striking out on things I needed, so I thought I'd go look at the fit-chies... they take pretty good care of their tanks at this particular wally world. So I'm looking and what do I see but plump little bellies against the glass... oto's!!! Get this, they were under $2 each! Then I noticed what was in the tank with the oto's and I almost tipped over, they had blue lobsters! They're not lobsters, they're crayfish, but what do you do. They were just shy of $10, but the number didn't ring up and it was an assistant manager running the checkout so he gave it to me for $8! Score!!! I'm putting him in the 38g with the little guys for now, but the instant he gets snappy he's got to fend for himself in the 72g, them be the rules.

I also got 3 cory cats last night, and Kevin met me at Petco to bring home the dozen neons that I had to have! What a guy, he acclimated them and netted them out of the bag and everything! They can be taught!

So, without further ado... here are piccies of my fit-chies! Oh, I'm having issues with some of the terraces and the suction cups that hold them up, so until Kevin tweaks them a little they won't be in the tank. Sick of them falling off every time I bump them...

those get even darker and prettier as the molt, the older they get the better, and eventually, you can have a crawdad cook off.

"has anyone had any experience breeding crayfish? "

Yeah but there was a lot of tequila involved so I'm kinda blurry on the details.
