oscar fading

HELP!!!! My tiger oscar is fading and half of its body is losing its color!! Its back half is still black but the front half is faded to a brown color. My water is all normal. His only tank mates are another albino oscar (who is fine by the way) and a firemouth, pleco, black lancer catfish. All of my other fish are fine. Any ideas???

How big of s tsnk? My first reaction would be to treat it with a antibacterial medication. Does it have any sores at all? Does it seem healthy otherwise? Is it eating? How long has it been fading?

his tank is 55 gal. he is eating and acting fine. I'm not sure what the problem is. I haven't noticed any sores at all. Could it be stress? he is the smaller of the two oscars and they do chase each other quite a bit.

thats pretty normal for them, ha may darken up again if just left alone, they fade when they are stressed, limit the light period to 8-10 hrs a day, and vary his diet, make sure there is some shelter for him to use if he wants it, I have 50 eighteen inch plants in mine and it helps them not feel naked all the time, If the other one chases him alot rearrange the tank every now and then, it throws off their territorial attitudes for a while, but dont sweat it, I have had oscars that were very pale and lived 8 years.
