Thanks, the 5 smaller ones are the new additions.

Yep, them shells were gathered up by my grandma over 50 years ago, used to have alot more in there but removed them for that reason.

Stang,
It didnt take but a nudge and I yanked them out this AM, b4 a water change. I do battle PH with my well-water, tried all sorts of horrible products... have had some pretty stable ph with the kent products that I am now using. There is just no substitute for an RO set up, and I can forget about ever breeding discus untill I have one...

Santa, can you hear me?

You could run it thru peat. Gives the water a yellow hue but can be romoved with carbon. Also bog wood will work too

I haven't been on much lately, Any way nice pic's!
BTW I'm the one that talked to you a while back about my brother who lives in Skwentna!

Anyway I'm luckey enough to have a Discus Breeder only 10 min. away!
Check out their web site http://www.greatlakesdiscus.com/index.html I know the shipping would be outrages to AK! But you might get some info from their web site! Also check out the hatchery link, & send them an e-mail someone will get back to you & probably give you any advice you might have on breeding them up there!

PS hows the band doing?

Those are so cool. I would be so worried to even attempt a discus tank, they just seem too hard.

Hi Doug! How ya been? Happy new year and thanks for the link(s) I know where all my sunday drives would take me if I lived 10 mins away from that farm! AWESOME! Like you say just the site rocks, and looks like a ton of great info. I got my Discuss from rockymountain discuss. Al Johnson owner/breeder is a great guy, and has great fish. Now I need a 150G so I can get more!

Looks like the band is done for now, we just couldnt agree on much of anything so I am looking for a bass player and will start over again if I can.

Got PM from a new member yesterday in Anchorage, mabye someday we can have an Alaska Reef Club?
