my BETTAS!

Well, I got 2 more this week, and their homes are not entirely set up yet, but they took good pics

First is the one I have had for a while. His name is Blush, mainly because he is pink and likes to hide. He is in my 60 gallon tank.






Then there is the second one I got. His name is Aran. He is in a 2 gal. bowl, have some plants in it, but don't have the substrate in there yet. Also has a piece of driftwood.




Lastly is the one I got yesterday. His name's Flash. He's also in a 2 gal tank with a few plants and some driftwood.

we get them in occasionally at work and people think there's something wrong with them... they are used to the 'regular' ones

*buzzes* Well, I need to take more pics, but I've become addicted to bettas again >_>

I got 2 guys from walmart(one has ich and isn't doing well He's got salted water and I hope he makes it, he's gorgeous) and a little female. Plus I won 2 guys from ebay >_> I wouldn't have bid on them, BUT one of the two looks identical to one I lost while we were moving from FL to CO. We hit a huge pothole, blew a tire, and the towtruck driver made us ride in the car. Ended up jarring the poor guy around too much on that nasty washboard-dirt-roads-are-smoother thing Well, but he's a crown instead of a veil. I fell for him, and got the yellow guy because I didn't want to spend $40 on shipping for just one. Hoo boy. . .

Everyone seems to like the yellow guy best, lol. He was really an afterbuy so I could try to piggyback the green guy onto payment and shipment. Kinda a good will thing since I had woken up too late and not been able to get in on that auction(luckily no other bids. . .)

Weird thing is that there are 2 veiltails at my local petsmart that look identical colourwise to the 2 crowns that the ebay guy was selling, and they've been there for a while, but no one seems to want them. . .

Holy cow>_> I've got 8 bettas now!

we keep a couple display vases with bettas in them at the registers at work, and when we display yellow ones people are always telling us 'um, i think your fish is dead' they look at me like i have three heads when i tell them that yellow is a perfectly ok color for a betta to be and he's not sick. We had one once that was a lovely shade of pale blue and pearl and one woman tried to start an argument with me about what i did to the fish to make it look like that...like i'd dipped it in bleach or something.
