My 300 gal indoor pond build....

Very solid framing construction.......yes, this is in my living room and yes, I have a very cool and understanding wife

Plywood wall paneling on the inside nailed up, pond liner in place and water being added.

Side panels being stained...

Grouting the travertine stone...maybe I should have done that before filling it .... nope needed the water to adjust the liner before it could be permanent. Outer panels installed with false maple legs.

Finished pond.

Underwater lights cast an awesome dancing light show on the curtains.
The plumbing for this was pretty simple. The water fall was made form some discounted travertine tile I found. I smashed it up into random pieces and built it up from there......very difficult, never want to do it again.

Some of my 9 happy Koi

Wish i had more pics of the process but we can't find the files!

that's pretty cool. Can you show a pic of the whole room? I'd like to see how a pond works in a living room.

And your wife............she's a saint :-)

Koi boring? Shame on you! Try to get your corals to swim into your hand to eat.

Never been a fan of eating fish, not for any reason other than it doesn't taste good to me...I have two huskies and they steer clear of the pond, however when the fish are feeding, the noise intrests them.

Very nice, but 2 buckets of salt a MH and some mangroves would be sweet too.

Agreed, My father-in-law has a koi pond in his back yard, they are very interactive fish. Our nieces love feeding hotdogs to them.

Thanks for posting the full room pictures. It looks great in the room.
