She has a sister.....sorry wouldn't recommed her, I got the better of the two for sure!
Be on the look out for a new build i'll be posting....I just got the ok for an in wall setup on the stair case. The tank will be housing in a bar area in my pool table/game room combined with a in-bar cocktail style arcade.
Here is a pic of the arcade now, but I want a smaller version as well.........yes spoiled, but I built it myself so it doesn't cost much. Can't wait to get started. So imagine a bar table area with a built-in arcade, housing the tank viewable from the staircase as you walk up. Going to be sweet!!!!!!!
The bar table will go right in the forefront of this pic.

What an awesome Koi pond! How difficult is it to put something like this together? Does it have a filter? What's kind of husbandry is required for this setup?

Sorry i just saw this post today. No it was very easy to make it. The hardest part I think was making the waterfall. It has two filters underwater. One runs all the time and the other runs about 8 hours a day which produces the waterfall.
I do water changes seldomly, but mostly just throw a hose through the window and fill er up.

What type of water additive, if any, do you use on the Koi Pond? Do they handle just tap water? My g/f had a goldfish in a 30 gallon tank that lived in tap water, she slowly acclimated it to tap water. I put it in my 55G conditioned tank and it died

Yeah I add some kind of Tetra pond conditioner.
On a scale from 1 to 10, saltwater being 100. The cleanliness of the pond is probably around 6. I tried to put two placostamises (major misplelling) and they died within a day. The Koi, none dead ever and have each grown at least 2-3 inches.

Plecostomus
Any idea what killed the plecos? I have always had them in my FW tanks and never had one die on me from anything other than old age, except one that tried to learn to hang glide out the front of the tank. The two that are in my 55 now are about 5" long, started at 2-3" about 9 months ago.

I have no clue. I would have never figured I could even kill one of those things. They're pretty hardy. I think the temp. played a big role....its pretty cold in that pond. I have the house at 76-79 all day and the water stays around 68.

Plecos don't do well in cold water..i always lose mine in my pond outside each winter. It doesn't get that cold in Fl. but when it does the plecos are the first to go.
