more discus pics

I think these are some of the best pics I have taken to date. Tuff subjects, they wiggle thier heads back and forth so much 80% of the shots I get are just blurs!

Using a Fuji F401.

Hi Casey! Hope your new year is off to good start!

Thank you.

With discus its all about water quality, and diet.

Clean, stable water, along with a healthy varied diet. Young discus especially. I feed Omega One, they love the first flake, dig the color flake, and tolerate an occasional veggie flake. That along with bloodworms about every other day. With all that food going through growing discus the BB makes my daily water changes quick and easy.

I guess some backing wouldnt affect my water quality too much though!

Discus are awesome

If I ever set up a freshwater it might have to be these guys. My LFS had these red ones a few months ago, so cool!

Nice looking fish you got there!

Discus are so worth the effort! My fish are so personable it is amazing! If they could swim around the house they would follow you around like a puppy. When someone walks up to the tank they are like zooooom, against the glass saying HI!

Much like saltwater, recent advances in husbandry along with the internet allow a begining discus keeper the information and recoures to be successfull.

I know they are awesome and I love them several things are stopping me from having them though,I cant get black worms where I live and I know they love them at least people tell me they do and I am worried about hole in the head disease with them as you know discus are not cheap fish.
