light-co2 relation?

Maybe I can get an answer here? I've tried my planted tank forums, no one answers, so I tried messaging wwm, no response. But I know a few of you guys have got nice planted tanks. . .

Anyway, I tore down my 60 gallon as a planted tank. It never looked nice. The livestock I kept along with a lot of plants are in a 29 gallon now. I've got a 65 watt pc fixture but have been wanting an answer on the lights before I got a bulb, since I've also been warned a lot about my light with no co2. I HAVE to get a bulb now, since I accidentally broke the "spotlight" that has been lighting it, and that'll be a 10K since that is all I can get locally.

Anyway, with the 65 watts will I be required to have co2 on the tank? Not too many of the plants are really demanding. But I don't know what to with the co2. I can't go for pressurised, but I can't figure out if diy would be enough, or if I should go for storebought. And if I go for storebought, since the refill packs are waaayyyy expensive, could I use my own yeast mix at home for the co2 bubbles or do I need to get those?

Maybe, depending on how long you run the lights per day... I ran diy for years fed through my cannister filter or a powerhead...

But what plants? I don't even run co2 anymore... I have a 55 with a bunch of anubias, swords, java fern and some crypts. I got rid of my light hungry plants

I don't have any light hungry ones in there. Just anubias petite(thinking about moving it out though, since I dunno if it'll get algae problems with not a lot of shade) crypt wendtii, crypt spiralis, micro sword(just some from another tank to see if it'll grow) water clover(the stuff that looks a bit like big glosso) and some sort of un id'd sword that I've had for a while.

edit. I was thinking more for algae control, since I was told one on of the plant forums that with as much light as I've got, the 65 watts over 29 gallons, that if I don't put co2 on it that I'll have more algae than plants. But then no one wants to stay around and help me decide how to use the co2. . .

edit2. the lights vary by day for how long they're on. Most of the time it's not too long, but if I can't get home from work early up to 12 hours. Usually not that long though.
