I love planted aquariums. Yours looks great. i took a break from saltwater last year and built a planted nano. It was alot of fun. I would someday like to build another planted aquarium in addition to my reefs.

yeah... this was my focal tank for quite a while until I started setting up my other two saltwater tanks. That pic was taken less than a month ago. The tank is about a year and a half old (I think thats when I moved them in).
Its a 75AGA with a external overflow to a tidepool sump.
Ive got 260watts of PC lighting, tho I only run 130w on the timers and turn the others on whenever I remember (rarely).
Using Seachem's Flourite substrate with a very little bit of regular gravel mixed in. (add root tabs every 6-8weeks)
No CO2, but I regularly dose with Flourish Excel. I thought about CO2, but I really didnt see the point of spending the extra $$$, when Im already getting great results. Im typically pulling out cuttings by the fistful every two weeks or so. I'm working on putting together a progression of pics from when I origionally set this tank up. You guys will LOVE it! Hopefully I'll get finished up with it soon and Ill post asap.

Thanks for the great compliments! Now if I could just get my marine tanks to look this good....

Very nice Tony; I've been thinking about trying one with a school of piranhas.

Awsome tank, I love the planted tanks. mine is doing dismal but that is because i have sunk all my money in the reef. i will say dont bother with the Co2 setup. you can do a fizz tab setup that is much cheaper and safer to use. Vince... I had a school of pirhana and i speak from experience when i say never put them in a planter tank. they shredded all my plants in the first few days. Discus are awsome in the planted tank but if you don't have enough light on them they tend to go really dark and they aren't so cool. Another problem to watch for is to make sure you get true underwater plants and not bog plants. you can tell by the root structure. the bog plants look nice but turn to mush quickly.
just my .02
