insulation foam

My thought is to use insulation foam to make a pool area in the tank. I could poke a hole in one side for water in and a hole in another side for water out. Build up the two sides so that the water would only stay in the pool and plant around it...I was thinking of maybe using that canned kind, (of foam) make some kind of mold to spray it into and be good to go...but does anyone know if the insulation foam would cause any harm? I would imagine after freshly being made it would contain chemicals but once made and maybe soaking for a while it would be ok....any thoughts....could be a good way to hide equipment, by making some kind of wall to put the equipment behind....

I would use a piece of acrilic as opposed to the foam just to be on the safe side.

Stang, if you don't mind my asking, did you find this kind of tank difficult. It intrigues me but upkeep I am wondering about...

No not really just be sure that ya keep up on the water changes necessary on the portion of water that youdo have in there. Imn small water amounts thengs can happen in a big hurry, (IE Water quality)
