I know what they are, just wondering why anybody would want them. They are fun to shoot with arrows.

ahh where you guys live (guessing more south) they are a different species which ARE a nuisance, but here they are actually pretty smart things and arent a nuisance, give a great fight too since you need to use 8 lb test to catch them or else they wont bite. Would be the biggest thing you could keep in a pond that you can fish for thats why i would want it haha. Bow fishing looks pretty fun hahaha

With 3 goldfish I wouldn't bother, other than to get one of those little fountain filters that they sell at home depot. Plan on doing water changes frequently to keep the algae down, unless you can buy enough floating plants to cover at least 60% of the water surface. Depending on your area the water may overheat as well, so WC's will help with that. The deeper the better. Any questions, PM me...

I've never heard of doing a water change in a pond, or had algae problems. My ponds usually have rushes, hyacinth, and lilies so never any nutrient problems.

Not sure of the volume. Each tier is about 8-10' and 5' deep, with a 6 x 2' bog section on the right.

I wasn't referring to larger ponds, just the small 20 gal plastic liners. It's no different that having a bucket of water sitting in the sun all day. Algae soup

Nice pond man! I'd love to cap mine with flagstone, unfortunately it's retarded expensive down here.
