Unhappy

Deformed fish...

Today I bought 3 rasbora hetemorphas, and they all seemed sorta disfigured... most of em had their nose area 'dent in' probably as a result of bashing into glass. Also, two of em had a messed up spine so it seemed. The spineal area near the tail was kinda bent and springy (they had like hunchbacks near their tails)

How would I help these fish recover? Ands what's up with their spines? Any hope for these guys or they doomed?

Thnx

I wouldnt say doomed. What they are are the fish that didnt make it thru the cull of good and bad from the wholesaler. I would just watch them and make sure they are ok. If it is possiable take them back to the LFS and see if they will replace them.

...they died today... Im assumin their deformities got through the best of em. Seems a nitrite spike has also occured in my tank, around 0.3 it's at. Tried a water change, didn't do much. Are fish gunna be alright while the bacteria form?

Sorry to hear they died. I wouldnt add anythign else till the nitrites are gone. Small waterchanges will slow your cycle down but my be necessary to maintain the health of the fish still left in the tank

Did you check them with a beta-gamma radiation detector for decay?
