Cloudy Water

I did a really good cleaning on my 150 on Saturday.
I did a 50% water change.
I did a very thorough gravel cleaning.
I took out all of the silk plants and cleaned them.

Today I get up to find that my water is cloudy. Looks like fog in there.

My water params are perfect except for PH which has crashed for some reason. It is about 6.2!!

Nitrate = 0
Nitrites = 0
Amonia = 0
Ph = 6.2

I use a Magnum 350 with the micron canister in it.
I also use a FilStar XP3 with Bio Rings, Fine Filter Foam and Ultra-Fine Foam.

Any ideas as to what is causing the fog?

the only thing i can think of is a bacterial bloome. you may have disrupted the cycle and it is trying to regain an equilibrium.

So maybe I cleaned it a little too well?

I wasn't getting any dirty water out of the gravel when I was done.

keep an eye on the ammonia for the next couple of days. it should clear up by then.

the only other thing is if there was something in the water, that is if you used tap water. maybe run a little more carbon for a couple of days.

Good call Goeff I seen 150 and 50%wc and That was my first thought too. When ya do that big of a WC and also gravel vac the snot outa it you are actually removing too much bacteria.

LOL!

Yeah, sometimes I get a little too much on the neat freak side and the tank goes back to when it was first set up.

A little mess doesn't hurt..I guess.
