Bunch of Exotic FW pics


Some of you know i help out at an LFS... they have a massive bunch of really exotic FW fish too so i took some pics and figured i would share.

1 is a bunch of baby arowanas
2 is discus (best shop in the NW for discus
3 and 4 is a $900 arap? south american fish that gets massive.,,
5 and 6 are some rays

A few more

1 african tigerfish with mean teeth
2 another ray
3 a fish that will eat anything and everything
4 bichir tank (they also have a full grown bichir)
5 a cichlid that can read minds
6 another arowana

Wow, nice! I loved my bichir. I would have kept up that oscar tank if she hadn't jumped They've got amazing personalities, mine would eat out of my hands ^_^

# 5 looks like a Haplochromis Moori ( Blue Hap ) i use to call them, i raised them back in the 80's, very cool fish!

actually, not sure, it is a darker purple color and the bump on the head is much more pronounced at about the size of a golf ball.

The pic there is a juvenile, they get the big hump when the males reach the adult stage, another name for them is used more often Frontosa.
