blue oscars


Ok I have only ever seen 1 up close and that was while I wasnt in fw aquariums. I have yet to see another one. Does anyone know where I can get one?

I should say I realize they are dyed oscars and that the color eventually fades but I still want one =]

There was a neat thread here sometime ago bout dye fish, pretty interesting. I love the natural colors of the Tiger-oscar myself.

well i have 2 common oscars (the ones that are black with white stripes all over their bodies) but i wanted to try soemthign different.

whos fins? those barbs dont stand a chance against the oscar or the catfish that chases the barbs everywhere.

tiger barbs have a reputation as fin nippers. they like to nip at each other when you add other fishes withem they tend to do it to that fish. The oscar may be bigger but a small group of thse little buggers can strip fins quick. the bigger the fins the more interested they become. of course it way not happen but its just their rep.

hmm never heard that before ever. all well. actually the oscars chase them even though there are 4 barbs. all fish were added at same time anyways to limit the death toll.

cool. 1 got ate today by my oscar. the oscar's belly is full. the other 3 barbs chase each other all over the tank hehe.
