Betta compatibility in 3g
Dr's F and S had a 3g Eclipse complete system on sale dirt cheap so I ordered it for the Betta fish.
Can I put anything else in there with it like some neon's or something?

Thanks Vince. I'll add a couple of other fish then. There is a filter so three fish should be okay.

I think a smaller neon or tetra should be just fine. Personally I like the lemon tetras and rasboras

They usally are by themself and they come from dirty water and like it that way so take the filter off.

mine have never had a problem with filters.
small tetras and platties make good companions for them. so do rasboras

I would suggest some corydorous catfish or a pair of small livebreeders.
Tetras and barbs can be bad about fin nipping and a betta can end up being a prime target.

One tetra died, but the other and the betta get along great. Four of the five ghost shrimp are happy in there as well.
Weird tank full of plastic stuff but they seem happy.

I run a male betta and 2 female bettas in a 30L planted w/ 5 cardinal tetras, 3 corys, oair of american flag fish, loach, and a *sigh* angel/blu ram hybrid. the only fish that fight are the 2 female bettas and only when I prune back hiding places. tetras never really nip fins. almost forgot an amano shrimp and snails

Endlers Livebearers would make a good colorfull addition. but they are prolific breeders so you'd need to thin the herd quite often. If you get Endlers, make sure they are pure Endlers and not an Endlers/Guppy mix. True Endlers are much smaller on average that your standard fancy guppy.
