i have a few questions
1 will i need a biger tank for the clown knife and if so what size should i get
2 how much should i feed my clown knife ( i am feeding him 2 to 3 gold fish a day ) and is there other foods that he can eat rite now he is only eating gold fish (which i keep 20 to 90 of in my 20 gal ) which are not all the same size some are small and some are biger. i dont want to starve him but dont want to be waisting my money on food he really doesnt need to eat??

Ok lets start here.

Ph is alot of problem when it comes to live plants. Most plants (most I say because there are differnt kinds etc) will like a ph of around 6.0 to 7.0. Also available co2 and type of substraite is alot. There is a gravel sold by fosters and smiths I cant remember the name tonight ill have to find it in the am but anyways designed just for plants. Also the introduction of bog wood will help you keep the ph just about right. I am not a plant expert by anymeans but know a little bit.

Ok be ready to upgrade quickly that clown knife will get 2 to 4 feet in length and sometimes 20 inches at his or her hump. Also the Pacu will get HUGE!

In all actuallity the pacu is a vegitarian. He will however eat what food is available to him IE feeders. I wouldnt recomend feeders as they are high in fat and oils that will shut down the liver function and also shorten the lifespan of said fish's.

For food I would ween them both off feeders and fed them sep. if possiable. Ghost shrimp is ideal right now and can be bought live. You can also go to the local supermarket and buy whole shrimp to feed them. With the shrimp I would soak them in water for about 20 min before feeding and then drain off excess water as it will contain po4.(phos)

Anyways Im beat Ill find the link on the gravel fer ya in the am.

HTH
