Roger,
Actually I lost that one. The polyps were open on it quite a bit, but I don't believe I fed it properly. I tried using cyclopeeze and just bits of frozen that the other corals would receive.
On the other hand, I have a purple ribbon gorgonian that is photosynthetic. It seems to do best directly in front of the Stream being blasted away with flow. The skin sheds frequently and polyps are always out. Had an inch of growth in only a few short weeks with it residing there. I guess it was about 4" from the outlet.
I love gorgonians - would like to set up a species specific tank for them one day. I think a wave box would be perfect for that.
