Question

starting a new reef

I have been in fresh water for years and have just bought a 125 gallon size is 72" 18" 23" it will have 45 pounds of live rock and about 25 pounds of base rock and a 50/50 mix of live sand looking for what kind of lights and filter wet/dry or canister and do I need a drain installed .

Also when I start to setup Ill be waiting 8 weeks before I add any inhabitants is this to long and could it hurt the tank?
