Powder Blue With Ich

I just purchased a powder blue tang on Monday. I know that they are vulnerable to ich. I put him in my tank after acclimation. When I got home from work this evening I noticed that his fins are starting to show some ich. I know that I should have quarantined him first, but I have not set up a qt tank yet. My tank is a 75gal. All my parameters tested out as, ph 8.1 ammonia 0 nitrites 0 nitrates under 10. My system has been running for 4 months now. fficeffice" />>>

>>

My question is should I put the tang under the stress of putting him in a qt tank and treat with copper, or try garlic or some other remedy first? I am just worried mainly for the other fish in my tank, and I would love to see my tang survive this.>>

Thanks

My tang gets a little ick from time to time it's just a fish that seems to get stressed out more than others. Garlic, definetly...I also went from 2 feedings per day to 1 and he's been ick free ever since.... Just my experience.... hope the info helps.

feed your tang some macro algae to help boost up its immune system...when my first tank had ick I used a uv sterilizer, expensive, but works great...
