Weird Crab ID
This has been in my parents tank for probably 10+ years now, started as a hitchhicker we assume. I have only seen it 2 times in my life, my parents not many more. I saw it tonight and had my camera handy, this is the best picture I can get of it. It dosent seem to harm any fish or snails or hermits, so I don't think its a problem. Any ideas???

Boy hiddy Code, you don't give someone much to go on. Do you? LOL
It's Dromia erythropus, and shouldn't bother anything.

Thanks man I know that was bad image work but I was happy to get anything at all! That was the second time I have seen it in 10 years, that little bugger likes to hide.
That is the 'red eye sponge crap' right? I don't think that is what it is... Arent those usually kinda hary? This is what I found on google image:

Crap! You mean to tell some of these crabs can live ten years! I've been trying to catch several crabs in my tank for months, with no luck. I was beginning to hope that maybe they would just die off of natural causes if I could wait them out for a year or so. But ten years! Starting to feel like Captain Ahab in Moby Dick.
