Photos of my new mantis shrimp
Thought I'd share some pics of George, my new mantis shrimp...
Not sure what type of mantis he is....other than a smasher. If anyone knows what type, I'd appreciate the input.

Last one....George would flare for the camera, but wouldn't come out of the rockwork enough for me to get a full body shot...

Wow! Very colorful! Much more so than mine. They are quite the character for such supervillains .

He is so very COOL!
I had an absolutely awful day at work yesterday....so I came home and fed him a baby crawfish. The carnage was awesome...mellowed me right out....LOL...

LOL...
George must be feeling comfortable now in his new home (I brought him home on Monday).....he's been snapping away all evening. I'm amazed at the volume he can create....

Ahhh too bad such a beautiful looking critter is such a hellion! I think I'll start taking bids from folks now when/if I get one as a hitchiker!

George is in a tank by himself. An eclipse 6-system.....so no corals for him to even think about bothering....

hopefully George will not decide to practice snapping at the side of the tank
i have seen many matis holders with large holes in the side of them from the mantis decided it did not want to be in there any longer.
they are amazing creatures, great colour on George.
