Hello,

Remember the rock I just got last week? The free lobster I got has been identified as a purple reef lobster. Should I keep or remove is the ?? I wanted to add my star polyps and soft tree coral to my tank so not sure if he will eat them.

Their reported to be reef safe, but I've heard of complaints. It seems as thou there usually safe, but as with anything they are individuals, and my not follow the rules. They won't harm corals, but some have been known to bother or kill small fish or invertabrates.

Lobster+tank=bad

Unless, of course, they are intended to be eaten with melted butter

I've seen them eat lion fish, eels, tangs and anything else they could get their claws upon.
