They look like they are attached to a small piece of rock. If there is nothing else on that rock..just take that rock out.

http://www.aquacon.com/images/kalk.jpg

from Site (which has a LOT of popups)
Description: Provides calcium for Hard and Soft Corals and other invertebrates

Type: Marine Aquarium Water Conditioner

Available In: 100, 225, 400 grams

Part Numbers: KW100, KW225, KW400

Description: KALKWASSER MIX provides bio-available calcium for lush growth of purple, pink and green calcareous algaes, snails, hard tube worms and clams. Corals will open more and stay attached to their skeletons better, with regular use. Phosphate & nitrate free! Contains no gluconates, EDTA, or other organics to raise DOC levels, as many competing products do. This product is the original European Method that has never been equaled for calcium addition to a Reef System! It will provide long term results that no other supplement will! • It requires a little more work, but so does anything that is really worthwhile! KALKWASSER MIX can be used with Kent Marine Concentrated Liquid Calcium or TURBO•CALCIUM for maximum results. Strontium addition via use of Kent Marine Strontium & Molybdenum Supplement or TURBO•STRONTIUM is absolutely necessary, as well. Use of Coral•Vite, and Essential Elements are beneficial, as well.

Directions: For best results adjust system KH to 8 to 10 dKH with Superbuffer-dKH or Marine Aquarium pH•Buffer first. Add 1/8 minimum to 2 teaspoons maximum powder per gallon of fresh water for a stock solution • Let stand for several hours • Only mix enough to last a week • A white precipitate may form on the bottom of the container. Above this is the clear calcareous water which should be added to the tank SLOWLY • Use drip method or dosing pump to drip into system on a continual basis to replace all water lost to evaporation • Does not cause pH to rise significantly when added slowly, but measure pH regularly • Use Kent Marine Superbuffer-dKH to control pH and carbonate hardness • For best results use Kent Marine Strontium & Molybdenum Supplement also.

Considerations for use: If you add a teaspoon or more of KALKWASSER MIX per gallon of water for your stock solution, a crust will probably form on the top of the water in your container. This is normal and it will act to impede the diffusion of carbon dioxide into the kalkwasser solution. This will assist in keeping the kalkwasser solution fresh. Dosing: Do not ever mix KALKWASSER MIX with any buffer! KALKWASSER MIX should be dosed alone! If you mix it with trace minerals, many of them may precipitate out!

Calcium Testing Suggestion: Calcium testing in marine systems is fraught with difficulties. Test kits generally don’t work well in the ranges that we run in reefs and many ions in marine water interfere with the kit. If your calcium level does not make sense, try diluting the aquarium water sample 50/50 with distilled, deionized or R/O water and testing. Multiply the result by 2. This will both save on valuable reagents in your kit and generally give a more accurate reading.

Contents: calcium hydroxide

Precautions: Contains Calcium Hydroxide, a caustic material. Remove to fresh air if inhaled. In case of eye or skin contact, flush with water for 15 minutes. If swallowed, drink 2 glasses of water followed by fruit juice or vinegar. SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION! KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN! Not for human consumption. For Aquarium/Ornamental fish use only. Not for fish used for human consumption.

Mix it into a slurry and inject it into the little tentacled beasties with a syringe or mound it over them in a deadly cocoon of white

FYI, aiptasia can spread at unbelievable rates if conditions are right. I visited an aquatic education center last week that has a 1,600 gallon saltwater system. They got some aiptasia on some LR when they were first setting up -- not knowing what it was, they stuck it in the system. They now have probably over 10,000 of the biggest aiptasia specimens I've ever seen.

What all do you have in your tank? You can add a peppermint shrimp, (if there are no predators in your tank). He or they if you add more then one, can help keep your aptasia in check. The really large ones you will need to zap with the kalk, but the smaller ones, the pepps will usually munch down on.

from the looks of it i just need to slowly start adding Kalk into my tank. is it something i should use to direct treat the aiptasia. Via a direct blast with surenge?? or just add as overall treatment? i currently use a calicum suppliment. do i need to stop other supp or use in conjunction with kalk

should i just pull off the little ones?

i currenrtly have two damsels a snowflake morray and 1 cleaner shrimp. the morray and the shrimp get a long well so i should be okay adding a few cleaner shrimp.

the problem with pulling them off, they can spread their cells across the tank creating a bigger problem. As for adding the kalk, what I have heard most do, is you actually inject the aptasia with the kalk. And then, like a magic trick, you watch it die in front of your eyes.
