Help! Problem with my new Anemone!

Hey everyone,

Ok, I need some help. I just got a new bubble tip anemone and put it in my tank. After about an hour it started moving down the rock it was on. The clown was playing in him and everything was cool. Then he let go of the rock!! He starting whirling around the tank with the water flow. I reached in and quickly placed him on another rock, he took hold but after just a few minutes he was floating around again. I grabbed him and stuck him under some rocks so he could float around in the little cave I made but not get out. What should I do? What is this silly thing up to? Is he (dare I say it) dying?

he will move around till he finds a place he likes. bubble tips like to have there bodys surounded by live rock with just there oral disc exposed.

Phew.... I was scared for a minute there, I moved one of the rocks that was blocking him in, hopefully he will take hold of something soon. Thx.

just watch he doesnt drift into any corals where he could do damage. aquarium fish magazine oct 2002 has a good story on the care of anemones.
