Help needed with my BTA

My BTA which would be a week or so old was looking great feeding on pieces of fish every two days or so but tonight as i came home i check my tank as normal and it was fine but within one hour not even it has deflated to 1/5 of its size and not looking flash its colours are the same as well just really deflated is this normal. My water parameters were all perfect last night and all other occupants look happy also.

Sounds like it's "pooping" or dischargeing it's waste. Ours does that sometime the next day or two after a meal. Remember there is only one opening on those BTA's.

Keep and eye on it and it another day it should be back to normal.

I concur with wanareef. It's probably just elminating or water-changing.

Mine likes hanging upside down, but he is only hanging on with 1/4 of his "foot"! Is this a bad sign?

Hey Das if you watch your BTA closly you may see him coughing that fish back up.
You'll have better luck giving small dices of fish, shrimp or Mush.

I know he takes it, He'll take your hand if he could LOL
But he'll puke it back up

Hey all,

My bta is green and i feed him Brine and fish all thawed in the tank water and direct fed but in saying that i have noticed the clown picking food up and taking it to him. I have posted some pics not to clear as i am trying to work out this Olympus camera can not work out how to kill the flash when taking tank shots.

Nice looking BTA - looks like our's heh heh
Ours split during the tank move and I didn't know it till I moved the rock it was hiding under. Looked awful long when I saw it and then it hit me duh it's spliting.
