Lionfish - disease problem ?

Not sure if I have a problem with my lionfish. When I sent down to see him this morning, he seemed to be shedding mucus, with strand of it hanging on his spines etc.

He then shook himself and the mucus came off, is this a sign of disease, and if so what ?

Not sure if it's relevant, but due to some extreme weather here at the moment the tank temperature is 2 higher than normal

Hello , and welcome to TRT! on the lion, i can't say if that is a normal thing for the lion to do, my lion has done that many , many times over the 8 odd years i've had it,,,,i believe it's just "shedding",,,,although i would be concerned it the lion did that too often,,,,check your water parameters to make sure everything is in order,,,,

What part of England are you from?

South West, near Bristol. It's unusually hot here at the moment, with temperatures up to the mid thirties Celcius, which is not the norm for the UK !
