Wierd Sea Fan

I saw this species in a friends display. Sorry, no picture. But its a sea fan. Large burgandy plume and it has legs like a crab or spider. Very beautiful little creature. My friend didn't know the species name. He picked it up cherry picking someones tank tear down. Anybody seen anything remotely close to this vague description of mine. I'd love to own one.

prolly a crinoid, feather star, basket star. they are echinoderms. like starfish. somewhat hard to keep. require somewhat specialized feending. Spanky knows more. they are filter feeders. seems certain species require certain sizes of plankton.

But no cigar. This animal has a very feathery plumage on top of the stalk. I would agree that its a species of crinoid, like Geoff suggests. Just can't find a reference to it any where yet.
