What is this?...any clue?

This thing has been in my tank for a few years now and I've finally snapped a pic of it...it sends out a stream of something sometimes 6 inches long....what is it?...thanks!...RJ

I think that's a worm that feeds by sending out a "net" of mucous and hauls it back in to eat the stuff that sticks to it. I maybe completely wrong but that's what it looks like to me =)
