strange anenomae

[Ichthus]

This anenomae was originally a hitchhiker on a star polyp and looked round. It hasnt left the coral since Christmas. But just yesterday it came off and started moving around. Then I started seeing its legs floating in the tank. I gave it a gentle nudge and about twenty of its legs fell off. So, I moved it and lightly turkey basted some food to it, of which it grabbed. Now it is on the back glass and looks oblong instead of round.

Is this normal or is he about to die?

I know there is a type of nudibrach that is common w/ star polyps and looks like an anemone. Looks like that pic as well. I cant remember the info completely, but when I get home I can check the book I saw it in. I believe it is in Reef Aquarium Vol 1, if you have that book, check the predator/pest chapter and see what Im talking about.

I shouldn't say "common". But the Nudi is associated w/ GSP's. In the case that it is the nudi, finding out more about its needs may help you save it.
