Question

pencil urchin

hey everyone, whats happinin. OK ive got this pencil urchin that is starting to get hard tube filter feeders (dont know the correct name) all over its arms or pencils if you will. is it going to be OK. thanks

It should be okay.

What kind of 'filter feeders'? Curly white tubes, straight-up reddish, straight up whitish, or other? feather, twin tentacles or mucus trail?

Heck, why not post a pic?

straight-up reddish, mucus trail seems to be. i will borow a cam after work and put a pick up. thanks dark one.

Vermetid gastropods ("tube-snails" if you like).

Harmless little squatters, they pay out a mucus string to trap suspended morsels, then reel it back in for a meal.
