Magnificent
Urchin, Astropyga magnifica. I've been trying to get my hands on one of these for a while. Today, we got lucky.
Had to borrow this picture, the real one is still in quarantine.

Hee, Hee, Hee..... It looks like an alien with one big eyeball. Jerel that has to be the coolest looking urchin I have ever seen. Now the big question is it reef safe?

LOL he's about 6" across, very deep water, is hazardous to your health, and no more reef safe than any other urchin.
I'll try to get a picture as soon as he gets home.
I'm happy we're seeing these guys again. They were the first urchin to be affected by the great die off, not the long spines like everyone things. They just didn't have the press. LOL
