Eye candy for clam fanatics
Well its been a long time...I know. But I've been lurking on this board and others too. Still I can't forget my roots and all the people here that were so helpful to me as a newbie reefer (all you guys helped succeed in so many ways). I wish I could repay you somehow, well here's a start a few clams for your eyes to feast on.
*Paulf - I don't know if you still lurk on TRT but recently a Long Island Reef club was started on Reef Central. There has been 3 meeting so far, actually the 4th is tomorrow at 2 pm in Bayshore. You should come down its a lot of fun...people trading frags and talking reefs. Email me or PM me if your interested.
Anyhoo on to the pics-
Here is a shot of my 3.5" T. Maxima.

And finally my 4.5" purple/blue Maxima (the one that started it all). I found this one in a LFS under Normal Output lighting. I told the owner the clam was doomed, and he needed to get it under proper lighting immediately. 3 days later the clam was still there, except this time the price dropped from $159.99 to $60. I couldn't resist the urge. He's been in the tank for 3 months now and has grown 1/2"!
Not the best picture...but will try to get a better shot...

Droooolllll....
I have noticed the one thing about clams is they dont look NEARLY as good when you view them from the front as they do from the top. I need to figure out a way to put my sandbed on the back of my tank and put the clams that way .

Sweet Clams!
I like them in a box
I like them with a fox face fish
I like to eat my green eggs and ham,

Man alive, those things are beautiful.
Wish i could keep some too....but i just don't have the equipment or the dedication (not to mention the $$) to be able to do it....
Thanks for sharing the pics!

UT, your clams are splendid! How long have you had them?
I quit getting clams b/c after a period of time, sometimes short, sometimes long, I'd lose them -- don't know why.
