Ever seen a serpant star do this??

I got up this morning and looked in tank, my serpant star was standing straight up. All legs were extended down under him. The main part of his body was puffed up round about the size of a golf ball. It was like he was stretching or dancing. Thought maybe he was eating pods they were thick in tank, lites had just come on. It was really neat to watch I have never seen him do that. Later

Is it a serpent star, with the smooth arms, or a brittle star with the spiny arms? That pose is one I've heard described to brittle stars that were hunting small fish. Are you missing any livestock?

that was usually the pose the do after getting a large meal of some kind. they are bizarre to watch sometimes. just watching the central disc can get pretty creepy sometimes.
