Clam question

I posted this to the clam board but I thought I would back it up with this post. I siphoning some of my substrate anda small piece fell into the opening of my Crocea. I guess he didn't havemuch time to close up. I'm worried that the pebble may cause problems withthe clam. Does anyone have any advice or expeience with this happening? Even though the clam looks all right I'm kind of worried.

Ever see a clam close up really fast! If it doesn't want that pebble in there it can send out a force of water along with the pebble is what I am thinking!

My clam gets debris in it all the time. It just shoots it out every once in awhile.
