Cerith Snails

I've got these cerith snails and they seem to be having problems with motivation, they just kinda lay there in the sand .. I've been tipping them over so they dont die, but I am not even sure if I need to do that. Please let me know if I need to keep tipping these bonehead snails over or should I just leave them.

mine seem to be moving around a fair amount. they seem to move the most at night. they kind of bury themselves in the sand sometimes.

do you have any other snails in the tank?

Did you just get them? Did you acclimate them? Have you been having any swings in SG?

My cerith snails are among the hardiest of the bunch, I don't think I've had to ever do snail patrol on them.

Just pick them up and do the SNIFF TEST, you'll be able to tell if they need to be (re)moved, otherwise, unless you have a wrasse or other predatory critter (like hermits ), they will prolly be OK once the night sets in, as for the most part, they are most active at night.

If they continue to be immobile, check them every day until they either don't pass the sniff test, or they disappear overnight.
