I picked up a shroom frag and polyps (isnt that what they are)..

looks like a green sea mat. If all the polyps are connected by flesh, it's a sea mat, if they are individual it is button polyps. Of course the second one is a blue shroom.

Will there lights work ? They haven't opened yet.

1x96W Coralife Aqualight CF hood w/ Quad 50/50 -Square Pin

I got another one for about $40. So would 2 of those work ? If not anyone intersted in these polyps ?

Try moving them around at differrent heights and water flow and if they like a spot they will open up real nice for you!

Well right now they are at the top of the tank. Flow is about medium low. What flow rate do they like ?

If I put strong current on them they will close up! I think your medium current is ok and another thing I have learned is when they don't open right away maybe leave them alone for awhile and they may open. I have my under MH lights about half way up the tank.

I would think PC lights should be more that adequate for polyps!!

Here are some more of my neat zoo's!! I had to move these a couple of times before they were happy!

I have orange zoos near the top with pc lights. These things have spread to about 6 times the original colony - now I'm trading them for other good stuff like blue ricordia.

Not to worry, they can sometimes take a couple of days to open.
