Gorgonian not eating?

Good morning to all and it is good when I have a beutifull reef to wake up to! I recently got a red gorgonian (diodogorgia nodulifera) it has ben in my tank 2 days now and still has not ate
placement in strong water movement. water parameters are ideal
is there any food that this species trives on. If so i am up to all sugestions well not all. I wont tenderly rub each branch like some have done to their snails to aclimate them.

The Red Finger Gorgonian is peaceful, but it should be given adequate space away from neighboring corals or anemones. Underwater epoxy is commonly used to anchor its base to a piece of live rock in the reef aquarium. It is difficult to maintain even in the well-established reef system. It is not photosynthetic and requires a low level of lighting to ward off a build-up of microalgae. It also requires a stronger water flow and the addition of iodine, calcium, strontium, and other trace elements to the water.

Since it is not photsynthetic, its survival is dependent on regular and frequent feedings of micro-plankton, live, baby brine shrimp, or foods designed for filter feeding invertebrates.

I have the same gorgonian and it took almost a month before it began to show it's polyps and feed. They don't like much light and the current should be moderate. I actually have two now and they begin to feed every evening when the actinics are on alone. From what I have read this is a difficult species to keep. 2 days is not that long. You will know if there are problems in about 2 weeks because the outer layer will begin to deteriorate and grow algae. Be patient and keep us posted.

I have yellow ones and it took over a week before I saw the filters emerge. I feed mine daily with bbs and phytoplankton (it is in a seahorse tank). When I clean the hair algae off it it...it retracts for like a week then comes back out.

yes that is a hard one to keep takes time to adjust and feed.
