Looks like a mushroom to me. (spotted or maybe watermelon???)

shot in the dark but.......


Maybe a cataphylia jardeni(sp) Elegance coral.

I have never seen one like that before. Is it new?

Hard to tell exactly from the picture, however it looks a lot like Blastamosa. I have seen it in that dark purple color before.

Pester the animal lightly and cause its polyps to retract.


Once we see the skeletal features (if any --it could easily be Corallimorpharians/shrooms), we can get a better handle on it.
