You're right it does look alot like a Kenya tree, but it's so hard to tell without seeing a closeup of the polyps. Also this guy is VERY AGRESSIVE. Anything it touches "melts" in seconds......it's stung my open brain,
bubble coral (both have recovered nicely) & easily keeps the Anthelia "trimmed" back in that section. He's the main reason I really need to get going on a larger tank.
From the page you suggested it's characteristics seem to be more like the Alcyoniidae species (just like Tom suggested when I first posted) but not exactly and I've never seen one this color.
I wish I could see some closeups of the polyps of the various "tree coral" species. I just added buffer a few days ago....a little too much....and he's not real happy right now. So I won't be able to get a good pic of him until this weekend, he really opens up nicely.
