Not really, but I can provide the proper spelling for you. Anemone. Popular mispelling is Anonome, which may help in an internet search.

Question

OK here's the pic (attached hopefully)
Although my Tomato clown has a bubble anemone that he is quite attached to, he does show some interest in this fellow and more concerning is that he has plucked a couple of the heads off and causes it to shrink back into its base which is some kind of rock.
any clues
thanks
Gary

nope..that isn't an anenome. That looks like a...um..pagoda cup coral, or, maybe (but the tentacles don't look right), an alevopora. Either way, that isn't an anenome. Nice pic btw!

that would be a Goniopora spp. not an anemone at all. has a hard stony base to it. fairly difficult to keep long term. nobody is exactly sure what they like to eat.

Gonipora! I new it was some sort of ....pora. I just couldn't think of the right name. And pagoda cups don't get long tentacles. Thanks Geoff!

Speaking of long term...

Hey newguy,

Do you think you'll like that screen name in about a month?
