bubble coral feeding

Do they eat frozen shrimp from the grocery store? Do you just lay it on their bubbles and they will start gobbling away? I'm getting ready to go to the grocery store to buy some shrimp (not shelled). Do they prefer to eat at day or night or does it matter?

Try getting some frozen silversides from lfs. Thaw out a little bit in tank water, then suck them up with a eyedropper and squirt at the bubble. If you do get seafood from the market get fresh and do a search here for "blender mush". You got to grind it up and you can add various other things that are very good for the tank. HTH

Mine usually sends feeder tentacles out when it "smells" food, but evenings/night I get a better response. Cut the raw shrimp into small chucks and gently sweep it over the bubbles. I end up peeling my shrimp only because I can't keep the shells on (they fall off the little pieces.)

Ok, I bought some raw shrimp from the store. I set it on the bubble ........ Did I do the right thing or do I move it around til the tentacles come out?

I feed mine silversides. They grab them and suck them in. I place them amongst the bubbles carefully and they do the rest.

Hmmmm....... is it possible they didn't like the shrimp? I'll have to buy the silversides -- they sell them at Petco.
