Montipora unmounted frag

ok guys I am going to buy a unmounted montipora frag please tell me how to mount it in my tank I dont have a clue have never done one this will be my first attempt.

Lately I've been experimenting with mounting single branches horizontally. I believe this gives them a more even look as they grow. This frag was a single branch just 4-6 weeks ago when I broke it off the mother colony. You can see it's already started to encrust and is branching out.

Rick how did you attach it?

Just a dab of super glue gel. That's just to hold it in place until it encrusts the rock.

I have a question about these guys what sort of lighting do they require?
I have seen them in the LFS and have been debating on getting a frag.

The requirements for this coral are pretty much the same as any other SPS. Bright lighting to maintain good colors.

I'm courious about how your side mounted frags are doing? Do you have any recent pics showing any new growth?
I recently got a few frags of montipora from a generous local reefer and I'm mounting 2 sideways and 1 upright. I've taken a few pics of my frags but can't get them to come out... You'd think with a coolpix 995 it would be easier

The montipora is growing ok. The acropora is slow. Both corals are in my prop system and I'm having some ca issues with it so I'm sure that has played a big part in the slow growth.
