And they just keep growing...

My corals are just doing great... My purple monti has just been going gangbusters since I started dripping Kalk... Here are 2 pics aprox 3 weeks apart. I still haven't installed the metal halides yet. Will they really increase the growth anymore than what I'm already getting???

Here is a pic from 12-25-02

Actually I need to order more reagents (ADT) so I can't test at the moment. I drip Kalk whenever the tank level starts to get low, about 1 gallon every 1 - 1 1/2 days seems to match the evaporation rate. My lighting is 520W PC... All of my other SPS corals are doing well also...

Here is a pic of a Hydenophora I got right at Xmas time. There was a blank spot on one side that I did not notice til after I mounted and placed it. The bare spot faces the fron of the tank. Since I first got it the bare spot has shrunk to about 1/2 it's original size... The first Pic was taken 12-25-02

They look great, just be careful with Kalk, it can really mess with your alk. Probally good you don't have a test kit, you might want to get the bleeding edge on Ca levels and put a fan on your sump to increase evaporation. Been there done that

LOL... I'm not the bleeding edge type, luckily... LOL I also happen to have a lot of calcium loving items in my tank, SPS/Clams/LPS.

Actually I've been reluctant to add the MH because everything is doing so well under PC lighting... I'm just not sure that MH will make any diference... I can always find another use for the MH's... hehehe I will eventually add a riser, or make a new canopy and add the MH lights, just not taday... I have to get my plumbing redone today...
