Yes, these "thin white feelers" don't quite fit the description of a bristle worm. It's more like a piece of hair with feathers on it. They are too thin for me to photograph but they are definitely some type of worm or other pest. I've managed to pull a few out but they seem to stay rooted in the rock and grow back quickly.

Are you seeing the stars receding as well? Or is it just that the polyps aren't coming out?

So far they have not recceded any, but the polyps are not comming out I think its time for fresh water bath #2, only a few more while worm things left...

As of this morning (Thursday), the polyps are starting to come back out! I gave it a 30 second fresh water bath once a day for 3 days, and shook it under the fresh water to remove any critters. Think it may have done the trick
