It is a new feature we have as an option....it uses a Spears quick release/quick clean and allows zero clearance to remove the collection cup. It also, has the added benefit of having the thumbscrews on the larger diameter riser below to allow full cleaning access for a thorough cleaning. Unlike other skimmers, this is the best of all worlds.
