Sizing protein skimmers is certainly not an exact science, and there are so many variables which goes into this equation. These include the total volume of your system, the load on your system, the desired "cleanliness" of the water, amongst other issues. What do you hope to house in this tank? Personally, I am of the opinion that our home aquariums cannot be overskimmed, so I would suggest purchasing the largest sized skimmer you can afford and tolerate (within reason). Our MR-1 will easily handle the load of a 65 gallon aquarium, but that decision is yours.
Regarding shipping to Canada, I will discuss this with the shipping department, and see what they can tell me. Thanks.

Our calcium reactors operate under the same premise as every calcium reactor available- We have just added some great features and options to increase performance, and have our famous solid build reputation.
Essentially, tank water is pumped VERY slowly through the entire reactor by an outside pump (small maxijet, dosing pump, peristalsic pump, etc). The reactor has a "recirculation" pump attached which flushes the water through the setup in a cyclical manner. To this cyclical setup, small amounts of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) are injected, to lower the pH to dissolve the media inside the chamber(s). One feature I highly recommend is the spraybar option we offer. It significantly increases the ability for media dissolution, and better calcium and alkalinity availability. At any rate, the cyclical action makes the water very rich in calcium and alkalinity, and this water is slowly added back into your aquarium. This is just the simple explanation of what is going on. There are a lot of finer details into how to set up a calcium reactor, but these need to be more tailored to your actual setup, rather than just blanket suggestions.
I hope this helps.

After checking with the staff, we, of course, do ship to Canada, in fact, all over the world. However, it is near impossible for us to calculate the costs without knowing exactly what the size of the order, weight, etc. would be.
