Good Mawnin' John and all of TRT!!
Wull....Tim is on vacation, and I'm sure that Dick is around here somewhere ... But you're the lucky one, John. What does your Tuesday have in store?
Whew! *onday was busyyyyy at the library. It's not just "check books in and check books out", that's fer sher. Today will probably be the same. School starts back next week for the teachers, and kids have assigned summer reading that they have to accomplish. You know, easy books like Grapes of Wrath and other classics.. At this point the ones who haven't read them are looking for the videos and recorded book versions, and we only have so many copies
Oh Heatherrrrrrrr??? Come and show your face...
Lots of love and hugs and peace to everyone.

Morning all!
Turbo snail?? That's a good one. I need some of those...
I'm off to do some driving. Got to go across town to drop off a leaky Eheim that the repair man failed to fix properly the first time -- my customer was NOT impressed Then I have some banking and other errands... then back to the store to tidy up and open later today. I spent part of yesterday power-cleaning the showroom - I need to power-clean the fish room now... it never ends!
Happy Tuesday one and all!
Jenn

We got lots more rain last night....no water shortage here!
Cath, I guess the rush is on for all the kids who haven't starte on their "Summer Reading List" yet!!
Wow! What a snail! I bet that thing could clean a tank in nothing flat!
"Power Cleaning", Jenn? Is that like when I pick the newspaper up off the floor?
Here's another of my Smoky Mountain Deer from Sunday's experience. This one had gotten up to stretch but laid back down after telling me a little Deer Joke!
Got to head for work now.
Have a Terrific Tuesday!

Wow, Dick! You can SEE the newspaper on the floor, and you actually remember that you dropped it there? AND you picked it up???? Will you marry me??! That totally shoots holes in my theory that men and kids do not actually SEE anything below their knees, but they have some sort of radar that permits them NOT to step on or trip over said junk on the floor. I'll have to rethink my notions about that.... perhaps it really *is* selective vision... hrmmmmm

You're close Tim ... the sink scores you points, but if you actually can manage to put in the dishwasher that scores double bonus points. Gather somebody else's dishes while you are at it, put them all in the dishwasher, put soap in the dishwasher and run it (with a full load of course) and you will reap rewards beyond your wildest dreams
I once heard a comedian in his routine, suggest that the best aphrodesiac for men to give their women, was "Clean something! Anything... just clean it! Works like a charm!" -- I think it may have been Bill Cosby A very wise man indeed ...
Ladies and domestically-inclined gents, you hear this, don't you?!
I need to power clean the house... but that's another story. I gave the kids a chores list again today -- in the faint hope that at least some of them will be done... somewhat correctly... of course their selective vision/radar is always on, so they don't see what could possibly be wrong with the house as it is now...
The power-cleaning at the store was mainly weekend aftermath - restocking shelves from overstock in storage, facing product, making sure my orders are up to date, taking out trash, vacuuming the carpet, dusting the furniture in the showroom, cleaning the bathrooms ... that fun stuff... just like being at home.
The fish room needs tidying, floor sweep and mop, trash taken out... that's on the agenda for this afternoon after I finish running my errands. Guess I'd better get out there and brave the joy of Atlanta Rush Hour... of course it's not bad now, but in 2 weeks the kids will be back in school and the fun will REALLY begin... so I guess it's not too terribly bad today
Hmmmkay, I'm outta here... "discuss"!
Jenn

Yawn....
Mornin' TRT....I'm one tired camper this morning. Had to have the car into the dealership for some final repairs this morning at 7 a.m.----which meant I had to have Mikayla to daycare by 6:30 so I could get across town to the Saturn dealership. Then, wait around for the courtesy van driver to take me to work...
Gotta find some coffee somewhere--
Have a good one!

LOL...what's with the "Man Bashing" this early, we haven't even had enough time to screw something up yet, I mean, it's not even noon yet. Never could understand some of that, I'm the one that does 90% of the cleaning, laundry and cooking, I guess I'm kind of a control freak in the kitchen, but my doesn't complain unless I makes something spicy.
Since I'm off tomorrow for a dentist appointment and won't make it to the morning thread, I'll just say thanks to everyone now because I turn the big 30 tomorrow...where did my youth go, wait, I don't feel any older....hmmm. I got the OK from the wife to buy one of my own birthday presents this Saturday. One of the guys in my reef club is selling his six month old power compact light set up for half price with an extra set of new bulbs. Going from 80 watts of light to 260, my hair algae should really take off now.
Talk to you all later, I've got a huge cup of coffee with my name all over it and a line of people needing computer fixing help.
Kevin

I definitely needed the coffee this morning...double espresso anyone?? Too much saki last night. The local sushi bar has dollar sushi monday and tuesday - yum!
If I could find a guy that liked to clean, I'd be all over that. I hate cleaning. Cooking I can do, and I actually enjoy it. But someone else needs to clean the kitchen up after dinner. I think it stems from growing up with a mother who's a little OCD about a clean house. Maybe she actually enjoyed it - I, on the other hand, hate hate hate cleaning house - especially dusting the baseboards. Unfortunately with two great danes, the baseboards need to be cleaned very regularly. They shed more than I would care to mention.
Well, off to read the new posts...
Good tuesday morning to you all!
Melissa

HAppy PreBirthday Kevin
I dont want to get started on the cleaning thing, I am very good about domestic chores, but my daughter (moves into her house this weekend) is OCD bout stuff. Constantly picking up and straightening, even on the back porch, which is a work in progress. I swear I set a tool down and before my back is turned she's put it somewhere else
The heat wave continues, but then it is summer time

Is it morning already? *yawn* *mumble* I could have stayed in bed an extra hour today.
Love that turbo snail! Looks like an intertidal species though; will he climb out of the tank?
Hehe Dick; interesting look on that deer's face. How was the joke? I've heard they have a goofy sense of humor, who'd a-thunk it!
Melissa, I'm with you; I hate housework! Our house always has that "lived-in" look, lol. When I was a kid, I would get out of my chores in the house by trading my sister - I mucked out her horse's stall in exchange. Seemed a fair trade to me!
Have a good Tuesday, everyone
Happy Birthday-eve, Kevin!

In our dreams Jenn ! My husband makes sure he loads the dishwasher wrong (takes up 3x as much space than is necessary with just a few dishes) to ensure I never ask him to do it ! Same with laundry...."Sorry honey didn't realize that red shirt was in there."
Still don't have my tank filled yet...got a bit of bad news last Thursday. I have 2 worn discs in my lower neck causing numbness in my left arm and leg and tingling in others. Leaving in a few minutes to get results from the MRI. If I end up having surgery the tank will have to go on hold....if physical therapy is decided than I think I can go ahead and fill it. Just need hubby to get a neighbor over and move the tank off the stand so I can drop my new refug in. Then it's SPLASH TIME!
